Code of Conduct To ensure a pleasant and safe environment, visitors of Union Depot must comply with federal, state, county, and city laws, ordinances and statutes. Additionally, visitors must refrain from the following: Fighting, threatening others or any behavior that threatens the safety of others or interfering with the peaceful enjoyment of the property. Searching through trash containers. Impairing pedestrian/vehicle movements. Expelling bodily fluids/waste in public areas. Possessing an open container of alcohol or consuming alcoholic beverages outside of an authorized event or tenant space. Possessing dangerous weapons or firearms, except for law-abiding persons holding a valid pistol permit pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Sec, 624.714. Defacing, damaging, moving or removing of any property. Entering restricted areas. Sleeping (excluding ticketed passengers in authorized areas). Sitting or lying on floors, stairs, escalators, handrails, artwork, heaters, trash cans or any other areas not specifically designed for seating (except as specifically authorized). Using any restroom for purposes other than its intended use of toilet facilities and washing of hands. Wearing masks, make-up or clothing items to disguise identity (except as specifically authorized or required or recommended by public health authorities). Failing to wear shoes and adequate clothing that covers the body. Using skateboards, skate shoes or similar devices; riding of bicycles within building premises or outside of designated areas. Littering or dumping. Using any electrical outlets not designated for public use. Possessing unauthorized animals (excluding service animals, pets of Union Depot Lofts residents or as specifically authorized). Conducting unauthorized commercial activity, distribution of flyers or solicitation. Bringing shopping carts on property. Building hours are daily from 6 AM – 10 PM.Between the hours of 10 AM and 6 AM use of the building is restricted to the following: Ticketed passengers (See below for details) Special event attendees Patrons of businesses located in the building Residents and their escorted guests For access to the Waiting Room and use of Union Depot seating between the hours of 9 PM and 6 PM you must present a valid ticket from one of the following transit providers: Amtrak Jefferson Lines Greyhound Megabus Photography/Filming Policy Personal Photographs Union Depot allows individuals to use personal cameras to take photos in and around the public areas of the building. Individuals and photographers doing family photos, wedding photos, graduation photos, etc. must follow all of the rules as outlined below. In addition to the Code of Conduct above, the following rules apply: May not set-up or plug in any type of free standing equipment such as tripods, lighting, props, etc. May not interfere with any private or public event taking place in any area of Union Depot. May not set-up hair and make-up stations. May not bring in rolling racks of clothes for photo shoot. No standing on, unplugging of or moving of any furniture. No leaving equipment unattended. No blocking off of any area of the building, inside or out. Commercial Shoots If you are interested in using the building for any kind of commercial shoot (film, television, catalog, magazine, newspaper, etc.) you must be pre-authorized. Permit fees and proper insurance are required. These types of shoots must be pre-authorized through the Union Depot Management Office (during business hours; 8:30 AM – 5 PM Monday to Friday).
